DAY 1: ARRIVAL TASHKENT [Departure Friday] (Dinner)

Upon arrival at Tashkent, our agent representative’s staff will meet you with signboard. Transfer for dinner at Xinxiang style restaurant. Afterwards check in and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2: TASHKENT - BUKHARA (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

In the morning flight to Bukhara. Arrival and city tour: At first you will visit the most ancient citadel in Bukhara dating back to the 4th century named Citadel Ark which served as a palace for several dynasties of Bukhara Empire. Then you will see Samanids mausoleum, a real masterpiece of architecture of 9th – 10th century. Then the tour continues to Chashma Ayub, meaning Job’s well and Bolo-Hauz mosque, known also as the mosque of forty columns built in honor of Bukhara governer Abu-Fayud Khan. Then you have a chance to walk along the shopping domes and visit one of the most famous madrasahs of Bukhara called Nodir Divan Begi which is also a part of Lyabi House ensemble, famous central sightseeing of Bukhara. The tour will end with visiting Poi Kalon complex, the unique sample of architectural art of Bukhara. It consists of three structures built in the 12th – 16th centuries: Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. Dinner will be at national restaurant, following by dancing show program. DAY 3: BUKHARA (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Today you will have a sightseeing tour in the surrounding area of Bukhara. First you will visit Bahauddin Naqshbandi complex, located few kilometres from Bukhara. It is a memorial complex of famous Sufi Leader and Philosopher, one of the Muslim pilgrimage places for all people of Islamic world. Sheikh Bakhauddin Nakshbandi was one of the spiritual masters of Amir Timur. Today complex consists of mosques of Kushbegi and Muzafarohana, courtyard with pool, madrasah, and burial vault of Bukhara rulers and Dakhma upon the tomb of Saint Bakhauddin Nakshbandi. Then you will drive to see the countryside residence of Bukhara emirs named Sitorai Mohi Hosa complex. The palace is the sample of combination of various architectural styles. Emir named the palace on behalf of his wife who died young “Star-like and moon-like Palace”. At last you will drive to Sumiton village to find Chor Bakr memorial complex, the town of the dead. Complex symbolizes the four sides of the earth and interprets that all people are equal. Construction of the complex began during the Samanids reign until the 16th century. After excursions you will return to city. Overnight at hotel

DAY 4: BUKHARA – GIJDUVAN - SAMARKAND (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast, we will start our way to Samarkand. We will stop over at Gijduvan village to visit famous private pottery workshop. Gijduvan ceramics school has its deep roots. The skills have been passed from father to son from generation to generation. Today Gizhduvan is home for the sixth generation of potters from Narzullayevs family which glorified Gijduvan school ceramics all over the world. Gijduvan Schools of ceramics is distinguished by a geometric pattern. Green and blue colors prevail in decoration of products. Continue tours to visit memorial complex of Al Bukhary. Al Bukhary was an Islamic scholar, who authored the hadith collection known as Sahih Al – Bukahri, regarded by Sunni Muslims as one of the most authentic Hadith collections. Afterwards we continue driving to Samarkand. Dinner and overnight

DAY 5: SAMARKAND (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Samarkand is situated in the valley of the river Zerafshan. It is the second largest city of Uzbekistan and is of the same age as the city of Babylon or Rome. Today you will visit its most outstanding sights such as Registan square, Shakhi – Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Registan Square, a complex of three fascinating Madrasahs dating back to 15th – 17th centuries, is the main highlight of Samarkand that no person can stop admiring its beauty and majesty. Architectural complex of Shakhi – Zindeh represents a big collection of mausoleums dating back to 11th -15th centuries being a part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bibi Khanum Mosque was built in honor of favourite Tamerlane’s wife, after his successful campaign in India. Dinner is at national restaurant with dancing show program. Overnight at hotel

DAY 6: SAMARKAND - TASHKENT (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

In the morning transfer to Tashkent (350 km, 4 hours’ drive). Today you will visit Independence Square which is the main square of the country, erected as a symbol of victory over fascism in World War II. Then you will have a chance to walk along the local Broadway, a walking street between independence square and Amir Timur Square. Further you can take a ride in famous Tashkent metro, among the most beautiful subways in the world. First line was opened in 1977. Then you will visit the old part of the city which includes; Chorsu Bazaar, Kukaldash Madrasah and Hast Imam complex that consists of several madrasahs, mosques and mausoleum. The highlight of its exhibits is the Othman Quran which is the world’s oldest Quran copy dating back to 8th century. Quran belonged to Othman Ibn Affan, the Third Caliph (of the four righteous Caliphs who succeeded the Prophet Muhammad). Othman was killed by non-Muslim in 8th century. His blood spread over the Quran that you still can see on its pages. Overnight in Tashkent

Day 7: TASHKENT - KHUJAND (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Morning transfer to Tajik border check point Oybek, border crossing. Tajik guide will meet you on the border and you will drive Khujand city. It is the second largest city of Tajikistan. It is situated on the Syr Darya River at the mouth of the Fergana Valley. The population of the city is 149,000. It is also the capital of the northernmost province of Tajikistan, now called Sughd. You will visit in the afternoon a Cultural Palace of Khujant. At this place the first president of Tajikistan was chosen. Also we will go to see Central Mosque that is situated in the middle of the city. Overnight in Khujand

Day 8: KHUJAND - PENJIKENT (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

In the morning, we will drive to Penjikent via pass Shahriston (3378m). The city of Penjikent (“five villages”) is located in Khujand area of Tajikistan in a picturesque Zeravshan river valley. Quite possibly the five villages started the history of this remarkable city which originated in the 5th – 8th centuries AD. Penjikent of that time was one of the most important cultural and crafts center of Sogd. It was even named “Central Asian Pompeii”. It was a superbly fortified well organized city with a ruler’s palace, two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses decorated with numerous paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods. The ruins of this ancient city were found only in the last century. Today the tourist can see the remains of dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the houses of craftsmen, and fire worshiper’s church. Overnight at hotel

Day 9: PENJIKENT – SEVEN LAKES - KHUJAND (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

We will drive today to the Fannsky Gory (Fan Mountains). They are one of Central Asia’s most popular hiking areas. You will do a day trip from Panjikent to the Seven Lakes (Marquzor Lakes), about 60km south of Panjikent. At this place you will have time to go for short hiking. There road goes along a gorge where 7 lakes are located. They are situated on different altitudes and have different colors. Also you will meet local people that live at that area. It will be very interesting to see their way of life. After walk we will drive back to Khujand. Overnight at hotel

DAY 10: KHUJAND – KYRGYZ BORDER “GULISTON” – OSH (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Today we will drive to Kyrgyz border. The road runs over mountains and high passes. On the way you will drive via Batken region famous for its apricot trees and unique flower called Aigul. Your Kyrgyz guide will meet you at the other side accompany you to Osh city. In Osh city you will go for a walk there and visit the most famous place – Suleiman Mountain. Suleiman Too (Solomon’s Mountain) is situated in the center of the city and it is considered to be a pilgrimage place for local Muslims. According to the legend, biblical prophet Solomon was buried at the foot of it. Overnight at hotel

DAY 11: OSH - BISHKEK (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

In the morning you will be transferred to the airport to have a flight to Bishkek city. This entire day is dedicated to a guided tour of Bishkek. It includes visiting Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, the National Arts Museum, National Philharmonic, and many others places of interest. But no tour of Bishkek is complete without visiting our Asian Bazaar! We will show it to you today and you will be able to take a lot of dynamic photos of bustling local life. This bazaar is a noisy and colourful tapestry of fabrics, produce, and people selling and buying goods. You will spend the night in a hotel.

DAY 12: BISHKEK – ALA ARCHA - BISHKEK (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Today we will visit Ala Archa gorge. It is a Natural Park. At the soviet Time only V.I.P people has permission to go for a walk here. The Ala Archa gorge is on a spur of the Tien Shan mountain range. It is just 45km from Bishkek. You can have a short hiking tour to see a panoramic view of the gorge. Afterwards we return to Bishkek and you will have some free time for shopping. Overnight at hotel

DAY 13: BISHKEK – ALMATY – BAO - ALMATY (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

In the morning your guide will accompany you to Almaty city. Today you will visit Big Almaty Lake. The tour starts with driving to the Big Almaty gorge, where at an altitude of 2,510m above sea level located the Big Almaty Lake – one of the most picturesque lakes in Trans-Ili Alatau. Here, at the basis of the Big Almaty peak, you can enjoy a fascinating panorama of mountains and the Big Almaty Lake, surrounded by the picturesque mountain peaks covered with Tian-Shan fir-tree, aspen and juniper. On the way back to the town you will visit the Falcon Farm, where you will enjoy a spectacular show with specially trained hawks – hunting with them is one of the most unique features of the Kazakh way of life. Upon arrival, you will visit a popular place for townspeople – the Green Bazaar, where it is impossible to refrain from shopping. Then the tour will continue in one of the oldest Almaty parks – Panfilov Park, where one of the most beautiful wooden buildings in the world – Zenkov Cathedral is located. You will also visit the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame, dedicated to the memory of the fighters who died for freedom and independence of the country. Overnight at hotel

DAY 14: ALMATY – DEPARTURE TASHKENT (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Today’s tour provides you the best opportunity to see the beautiful mountain surroundings of Almaty city. The first stop of the tour awaits you in the Medeo Gorge, where in the wonderful mountains of Trans-Ili Alatau the largest high mountain skating rink in the world is located as well as the huge dam, protecting the city from destructive mudflows formed on the tops of the western Tien Shan. Next destination is Shymbulak ski resort, located at an altitude of 2230 meters above sea level. It is very popular for its mild climate, large quantity of sunny days and snow through the winter and remarkable scenery of mountain ranges. Then your mountain adventure continues at the top of Kok – Tobe hill, which offers unforgettable panorama of Almaty in close proximity to the city. The tour ends with the short ride from the top of the hill to the center of the city by the famous Almaty cableway. Afterwards you will visit Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan – one of the oldest and largest museums in not only Kazakhstan, but also the entire Central Asian region. Transfer to airport and flight to Tashkent (approx.: 18:35 – 19:35), connection and flight home.
